10th Annual Workshop!
Join Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas when they return to Whidbey Island, Jan. 12-14, 2018, for a workshop and a concert finale. There are plans in the making to celebrate the tenth year of the workshop as well. A collection of 10 years worth of workshop music will be given to each participant, for starters!
Fraser, our long time friend, and consummate Scottish fiddler and artist, has a deep understanding of Scotland’s music. He will co-lead and teach the gathering along with Natalie Haas on cello. Their skill and experience will have fiddlers, cellists, and guitarists, and other musician types learning new tunes in no time. We pull it all together to create an exciting set for the Sunday concert finale.
Is accompanying and rhythm groove more your thing? Then Natalie Haas on cello, will provide fresh, exciting ideas to compliment these great tunes. Guaranteed to get everyone playing with rhythmic and great harmonic support.
Need help with the tunes? We have hand-picked mentor fiddlers to be available for breakout sessions and offer assistance getting those melodies taught by Alasdair and Natalie.
You’ll also enjoy Whidbey Island’s natural beauty, and the charm of Ft. Casey.
