February Session This Weekend!

February’s session will be one week earlier than normal, as in, this weekend!

It’s all happening at Linda Bliss’s home, Sunday the 4th, at 2 pm.  Bring your instrument, as usual, but also feel free to bring a beverage of your choice, and any snacks you might want to share.  We’ll go until 4-4:30.

The address is: 21410 96th Ave., W, Edmonds.

We’re working on session dates and places for the new year.  If you’d like to host a session, write to M.thumma@mac.com.

Hope to see you there!

Weather Update from Stanwood

Hi everyone!

I arrived in Stanwood a few hours ago– about 5 pm. I can promise you that there’s absolutely no snow whatsoever up here, the streets and sidewalks, and everything are clear. It’s very windy but the wind should die down by about 4 AM this morning.

Then they will have cold weather warnings out, as the temperatures should be dipping into the lower teens at night, possibly breaking records!

Please come prepared for this cold weather, bring extra anything that might keep you warm, whether it be when you’re walking outside or when you’re in your cabin or room at night! Safe travels to you all tomorrow❤️❤️

NOVEMBER Session

We’ll be returning to one our very favorite places for a session November 12th at 2 pm. Just a short drive to Edmonds, we’ll gather in the home of our dear friend Donna Varnau, whom we lost this spring.  Donna’s wonderful husband David will be our host and listen in from his studio as he works on his latest creation.  If you’d like to join us, contact Marcia Thumma!

No masks required, but welcome! Come join us!

Session Oct. 8th Third Place Books Commons!

It’s SESSION TIME! Swing by Third Place Books Commons in Lake Forest Park for a listen, or share some tunes!
Starting at noon, and ends at 2pm, the NW Scottish Fiddlers will be gathering for a session, featuring Scottish, Cape Breton, Shetland, and all related genres. Various stringed instruments, and those related to the genres are very welcome!
I just had a great latte and a wee sandwich on their very own bread- from the Honey Bear Bakery located in the Commons. What’s not to love about all that, and then listen to some great music at the same time? Or maybe join us in some tunes?!
The tiny sign asks that you don’t play on the stage… We will have to ignore that 😉 Hope to see you there! Find it here .
