We are absolutely delighted to announce that this year, just like last year, we’ll bring the workshop to you, in the comfort and safety of your own home!
Ahh, but there’s comfort and safety at Camp Casey as well. Â Perhaps we’ll have an offering, or page dedicated to how to make your surroundings more “camp-like” this year!
Alasdair Fraser, our long time friend, and consummate Scottish fiddler and artist, has a deep understanding of traditional styles of music, with a strong focus Scotland’s music. He will co-lead and teach along with Natalie Haas on cello. Their skill and experience will have fiddlers, cellists, and guitarists, and other musician types learning a handful of new tunes in no time.
Natalie Haas on cello, will provide her fresh and exciting ideas to compliment these great tunes. Guaranteed to get everyone on their feet and dance with rhythmic groove with great harmonic support. Perfect for those into accompaniment and the groove as well as melody players.
Sadly, there will not be a concert in Coupeville to prepare for, but we will still focus on arranging the tunes into a set after we’ve learned them.
Take look at last year’s videos from WOW workshop online, if you you’re wondering how it all comes together.
