One might wonder why a piper is featured on the Fiddle Club website… Well, she’s no ordinary piper, and she’s the leader of the club’s youth band! In August, she competed as part of the Northwest Junior Pipe Band, in the World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.
Overall, the band came in 6th, and they were featured on King 5 news- here’s the link so you can see them in action. Vienna will be the young lady in the front row: http://www.king5.com/story/news/local/2015/08/15/nw-junior-pipe-band-places-6th–world-championships/31783447/

Wow! Another summer is rapidly coming to an end (or is it?)!
Here are the dates we have set aside for our monthly meetings.
February’s date is Valentine’s day- we might be able to change that if we hear from enough of you that you’d prefer another date!
As in the past, we are still meeting on Sundays. The youth band meets from 1-2 p.m., and the board meets from 1-2 p.m.
We are fortunate to continue to have the lovely space at the Calvin Presbyterian Church in Shoreline, known as the Fireside room.
SEE YOU SOON!
It’s a sure sign summer has officially arrived when Fiddle Tunes in Port Townsend takes the stage! This year, our very own Calum Mackinnon lead the Scottish fiddle class at camp. Pictured below are very happy class participants!
